Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 1:15, "For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." Even at the seeming low point of Christ's ministry, the cross demonstrates God's power. The cross is an offense and it is a source of life and joy for Christians.
