Instead of avoiding the reality of who he is, the Apostle Paul admits he is the foremost sinner. In doing so he reminds Christians what we share in common with him: all of us are sinners in need of God's overflowing grace. When we acknowledge we are sinners, then we can embrace the gospel we need fully and with joy, giving God the glory.
