Jesus summarizes all the teaching of the law in two commands:  love God and love others.  It is God's love for us which enables our love for him and others.  God's love poured out for us in Christ moves us to love the unlovely and to forgive those who hurt us.  As Christians, we must be known by both our love for God and our love for others.
