How do we fight against sin?  Jesus encourages his disciples to fight sin by radically cutting off the sources of our temptation.  Since sin resides in the hearts of people, the gospel addresses our heart.  The gospel equips us so that we can fight against sin in others, fight against sin in ourselves, and fight for our holiness in the strength that God's grace provides.
