Mark 6:14-29, The Cost of Discipleship, Pastor Allen Taha

Commitment to Christ comes because Christ is commited to us.  John the Baptist was willing to pay the cost of discipleship with his life.  In this passage, we learn that we must be committed to Christ in spite of people's confused and conflicted response to us.  We must be committed to proclaiming the message of repentance even if it means our death.  Christ's disciples are called to die to ourselves and our desires in service to God.
